Early Years Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional individual to lead our Early Years team as a Kindergarten Coordinator in the Cardinia and Baw Baw areas.

This is an opportunity for a like-minded, passionate leader who wants to make a real difference in the lives of children, families, and staff every day.

The Kindergarten Coordinator will provide operational leadership to manage, support, and build capacity of the Early Years staff in our Cardinia and Baw Baw services.

Working across a portfolio of sessional Kindergarten Programs, you will play a pivotal role supporting and developing Educators & Teachers at each service.

You will lead the team to deliver high-quality programs that are inclusive and meet the needs of all children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service Delivery: Experience in early years service delivery, management, and planning to deliver compliant and responsive children's services that meet the needs of the local community.
  • National Quality Standards: Strong understanding of the National Quality Standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Management: Good understanding of financial drivers to effectively manage budgets.
  • Relationship Building: Desire to develop warm, respectful, and positive relationships with staff, children, and families.
  • Environment Creation: Genuine passion in creating a safe, secure, and nurturing environment.
  • Rapport Building: Ability to develop rapport and positive working relationships with stakeholders and families from a broad range of social and cultural backgrounds.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Completed a Degree or Post Graduate qualification in Education (Early Childhood) or related discipline with experience in leadership of early years services (Kindergarten and Long Day Care).
  • Career Development: Ready to take the next step in your career by leading the Early Years staff in our Dandenong services.
  • Clearance: Hold a valid Employee Working with Children Check.
  • First Aid: Hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate (Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting).
  • Training: Successfully completed 'Protecting Children - Mandatory reporting and other obligations for the Early Childhood Sector' training.
  • Frameworks: Well-developed understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards, and National Regulations.
