About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team at Spinal Life Australia. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients with daily living activities, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with transfers, including in and out of bed and wheelchairs, using hoists when necessary.
  • Provide personal care, including grooming, bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, bladder and bowel management.
  • Administer basic wound care and self-medication as required.
  • Support with domestic tasks, such as meal preparation, light household duties, and laundry.
  • Accompany clients on community outings, including driving to appointments and social activities.
About You

We are looking for individuals who share our passion for delivering exceptional care and support to people with spinal cord injuries and their families. As a Caregiver, you will be someone who:

  • Has a strong empathetic nature and positive attitude.
  • Can communicate effectively with clients, their families, and our team.
  • Treats others with dignity, respect, and without judgment.
  • Is able to work independently and as part of a team.
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
  • Smartphone device.
  • Current NDIS Workers Screening Card (Yellow Card) and/or Working with Children Check (Blue Card), or willingness to obtain.
  • Completion of the NDIS Workers Orientation Module, or willingness to complete.
  • Flexibility to work a fixed fortnightly roster with varying shift times.
