About the Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver Assistant to join our team at St Vincent's Care Services. As a Caregiver Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to residents, including grooming, showering, mobility, meals, toileting, and social activities
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as dressing, bathing, and using the bathroom
  • Encourage residents to participate in activities and engage in social interactions
  • Maintain accurate records of resident care and activities
  • Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification
  • Experience working in aged care or a related field
  • Ability to commit to permanent part-time work, including day, afternoon, and night shifts
  • High level of customer service skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow directives and work as part of a team
