AutoNexus Altona is seeking an experienced Fleet Conversion Technical Specialist to join their team

Reporting into the Technical Officer, key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing and delivering technical standards throughout the Fleet Conversion Business network to promote excellence
  • Identifying potential technical issues within the dealer network and implementing a strategy to address them, including dealer visits where necessary
  • Providing technical support to vehicle processing centres and assisting with the training of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for new vehicles
  • Offering qualified mechanical and electrical advice to internal and external customers on vehicle specifications
  • Creating layout drawings to demonstrate concepts or vehicle layouts for internal and external customers using CAD software
  • Generating quotes for customers and preparing bills and materials for labour estimation times

About the Role:

  • Previous experience in Fleet Conversions environment in the automotive industry
  • Relevant qualifications or experience in motor vehicle engineering
  • Experience in CAD software and programs
  • Previous exposure to emergency/mine spec/tool of trade fit outs in the vehicle aftermarket
  • Knowledge of ADR compliance rules
  • Experience in Autodesk Inventor and/or AutoCad Drawing (desirable)
  • Strong presentation skills (desirable)
  • Confident communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Highly developed analytical and negotiation skills in commercial contracts
  • Ability to initiate, manage and maintain internal and external commercial and customer relationships
  • Strong customer focus and relationship building skills with problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to devise innovative solutions to achieve financial returns for both customers and the business
  • A self-motivated team player with a 'Can Do' attitude
