Automotive Technical Specialist

Our company, Inchcape, is seeking an experienced Automotive Technical Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and delivering technical standards throughout the Fleet Conversion Business network, promoting excellence in their work.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify potential technical issues within the dealer network and implement a strategy/plan with the Technical Service Officer team to address these issues, including dealer visits where necessary.
- Provide technical support to vehicle processing centres and assist with the training of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all new vehicles.
- Offer qualified mechanical and electrical advice to internal and external customers on the specifications of vehicles.
- Create layout drawings using CAD software to demonstrate concepts or vehicle layouts for internal and external customers.
- Generate quotes for customers and manage bills and materials for labour estimation times.
- Previous experience in Fleet Conversions environment in an automotive industry.
- Relevant qualifications or experience in motor vehicle engineering.
- Experience in CAD software/programs, particularly Autodesk Inventor and/or AutoCad Drawing.
- Previous exposure to ADR compliance rules and emergency/mine spec/tool of trade fit outs.
- Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and devise innovative solutions.
- A confident communicator with excellent customer focus and relationship building skills.
