Machine Operator

Reporting to the Yard Manager, this hands-on position involves sorting, grading, and processing metals while delivering excellent customer service.

  1. Loading and Unloading: Ensuring safe operation when loading and unloading trucks, skip bins, and trailers.
  2. Machinery Operation: Effectively operating machinery including forklifts and/or excavators/sheers.
  3. Customer Service: Providing friendly and professional assistance to customers.
  4. Material Grading: Accurately grading and sorting recyclable metal materials.
  5. Health and Safety: Following health and safety procedures and leading by example.
Requirements
  • A valid Forklift (LF) License or a willingness to obtain it.
  • A strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
  • A proactive attitude and openness to upskilling.
  • Reliability, attention to detail, and pride in your work.
