Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Mechanic and Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Toowoomba. This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of tradespeople and mentoring apprentices in the maintenance, servicing, and repair of the fleet, plant, vehicles, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities include:

  1. Mentoring and guiding apprentices in their development
  2. Coordinating with customers and external suppliers to ensure efficient and safe maintenance programs
  3. Providing expert technical advice and guidance to staff members

This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and problem-solving abilities. The ideal candidate will have a Trade Certificate as Mechanic/Diesel Fitter from a recognised tertiary institution and relevant experience working with a range of plant and equipment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Trade Certificate as Mechanic/Diesel Fitter from a recognised tertiary institution
  • WH&S Competency Card for CPCCWHS1001
  • C Class Driver's Licence
  • Experience as a Mechanic/Diesel Fitter working with a range of plant and equipment
