Key Maintenance Technician

We seek a skilled and motivated maintenance technician to ensure maximum equipment uptime through effective and efficient mechanical preventative and breakdown maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • To guarantee continuous operation of machinery by providing proactive and reactive mechanical maintenance services.
  • Perform welding and fabrication duties as required, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
  • Engage in the creation, fitting, or repair of mechanical machines, instruments, or appliances, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Ensure that all mechanical work meets company standards for safety and housekeeping, complying with relevant regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify faults with the capacity to troubleshoot and rectify problems effectively.
  • Other responsibilities may include working on projects, collaborating with colleagues, and participating in ongoing training and development programs.

About You:

  • Cert III Engineering Mechanical trade qualifications and a minimum of 2 years post-trade experience.
  • Previous welding and fabrication experience is highly desirable.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in maintenance/repair within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Effective fault-finding and diagnostic skills are essential.
  • A comprehensive understanding of maintenance work management practices and procedures.
  • Familiarity with work planning and scheduling techniques.
  • Proficient in computer skills and software applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of WHS regulations and procedures.
  • Confined Space and BA Competence is highly advantageous.
