Job Opportunity: Change and Engagement Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Change and Engagement Manager to lead our transformation project in the utilities sector.

This is a dynamic contract role based in Melbourne CBD, focusing on engaging stakeholders, managing change, and ensuring successful adoption of new processes and systems in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement change and engagement strategies, conduct impact assessments, and monitor adoption of new processes / systems.
  2. Craft clear, compelling messages across platforms (email, intranet, events) to address resistance, align stakeholders, and celebrate milestones.
  3. Coach leaders, support change champions, and coordinate with HR, IT, and leadership teams to ensure alignment.
  4. Track engagement impact, report progress, and adjust strategies based on data to drive adoption and morale.
  5. Align initiatives with environmental and social goals, including net zero targets, and manage risks effectively.
  6. Foster a safe, inclusive, high-performance culture in line with the organisation's Vision and Values.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years' experience in change management and communications on major transformation, technology, or infrastructure projects.
  • Proven skills in change impact analysis, stakeholder engagement, and delivering engagement strategies.
  • Experience in gas / energy utilities or regulated environments is highly desirable.
  • Formal qualifications or certification in a recognised change management methodology.
  • Strong understanding of change processes and exceptional communication skills.
