Disability Support Worker

Empower individuals with disabilities to live a life based on their strengths, rights and choices. As a support worker, you will provide daily living skills assistance, engage participants in social and recreational activities, and implement strategies for healthy lifestyles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build rapport and collaborate effectively with staff, management, participants, families and friends to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Liaise with participants' families and friends to explore new goals and ambitions.
  • Provide quality professional support in line with participants' plans, needs and wants.
  • Assist participants with accessing their social community to engage with friends and social groups.
  • Implement strategies and programs to develop participant skills and identify areas of increased support.
Requirements:
  • Current First Aid certificate
  • Current CPR training
  • Current full Vic Driver's Licence
  • Certificate IV in Mental Health or Certificate III in Disability (preferred)
  • NDIS Screening Check
  • Working with children check
  • Assist clients with Medication certificate (preferred)
  • Current Manual Handling Certificate
Additional Requirements:
  • Own a car with full comprehensive insurance
  • Hold a current Working with Children Check
  • Have a valid Australian driver's license

This is a casual opportunity with shifts available Monday through Sunday, with variable timings ranging from 2 hours to 8 hours per shift.
