Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our Tasmanian division's policy, advocacy, and communications activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the division's business strategy and long-term goals.
  • Lead public debates on issues relevant to the property industry.
  • Be the chief advocate for the property industry in Tasmania.
  • Develop policy positions, research, and submissions to support industry interests.
  • Develop and deliver advocacy and campaign strategies in support of objectives.
  • In partnership with key stakeholders, put strategies in place to retain and attract members.
  • Ensure there is a Tasmanian event program providing deep value to members and strong commercial returns.
Ideal Candidate
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in a similar leadership role.
  • Strategic and agile thinking with exceptional communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
  • Inclusive, high-performing leadership style demonstrated at senior levels in various sectors.
  • Superior experience of complex government, political, and policy development processes.
  • Significant advocacy and policy shaping credentials.
  • Strong strategic and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain multiple strategic alliances and networks.
  • Track record in developing a positive team culture founded on trust, collaboration, shared accountability, and recognition.
  • Tertiary education in politics, public affairs, economics, law, or communications.
