Job Role: Senior Prosecutor
As a Senior Prosecutor, you will be working within a team of specialist youth justice prosecutors to provide a professional prosecution service.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality prosecutions for your area of responsibility.
- Maintain the highest standards of court material provided by police for use in Magistrate Court proceedings and Supreme Court applications.
- Foster effective working relationships with the Queensland Police Service, legal profession, government agencies, and the community to achieve desired policing outcomes.
- Develop and provide quality legal research, argument, submissions, training, and advice.
- Manage resources efficiently to achieve operational goals for your area of responsibility.
- Establish and maintain high standards of performance and conduct in your daily work activities.
- Coordinate Specialist Courts and diversionary initiatives as directed by the Superintendent.
- Review and evaluate youth bail decisions, recording timely and accurate data on bail outcomes.
- Be admitted, eligible for immediate admission, or entitled to practice as a legal practitioner in the State of Queensland.
Applications remain current for 12 months.
