Youth Justice Advocate

This is a challenging opportunity to work in a team of specialist youth justice prosecutors.
The role involves providing a professional prosecution service, including analysis and review of bail decisions, representation in the Supreme Court on bail review matters, and legal advice to members of the Service on youth justice-related matters.
- Responsibilities include:
- Providing prosecution services for your area of responsibility.
- Maintaining high-quality court material by monitoring police provision.
- Liaising with stakeholders to establish effective working relationships and achieve policing outcomes.
- Developing and providing quality legal research, argument, submissions, training, and advice.
- Managing resources efficiently according to Service policy.
- Maintaining high standards of performance and conduct in daily activities.
- Coordinating Specialist Courts and diversionary initiatives as directed.
- Reviewing and evaluating youth bail decisions, recording timely and accurate data.
You will be expected to work collaboratively with other teams and stakeholders to achieve common goals.
To succeed in this role, you will need strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements- Admission as a legal practitioner in Queensland or eligibility for immediate admission.
