About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Engagement Officer to join our Schools Human Resources Division as an integral member of the team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, high-volume environment, supporting the Executive Director and the division's Client Engagement Unit.

The successful candidate will contribute towards the provision of strategic support across administrative operations, including providing high-level administrative support to the executive director and ensuring briefs, correspondence, and Cabinet-related documents are quality assured and coordinated efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level administrative support to the executive director and ensure briefs, correspondence, and Cabinet-related documents are quality assured and coordinated efficiently.
  • Contribute towards the provision of strategic support across administrative operations, including researching and distributing information, and developing and implementing communications.
  • Liaise with relevant areas within the department to ensure quality, accurate, and timely advice is provided to the department's senior leadership team and relevant ministers.
  • Provide stakeholder management support to the division's Client Engagement Unit.
  • Assist with the management of the division's SharePoint site and records management.
Requirements
  • Highly developed stakeholder management skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with sound experience planning, prioritising, and responding quickly to changes.
  • Well-developed written communication skills, with the ability to review documents with meticulous attention to detail, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy at all times.
  • Sound knowledge of the processes, policies, and procedures within government and understanding of public sector accountability.
  • Ability to resolve issues through deep understanding or interpretation of existing guidelines and apply critical thinking and problem-solving concepts in the right context.
