Job Summary

We are seeking expressions of interest from individuals studying Cert III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) to join our team as a Personal Care Assistant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build meaningful working relationships with residents
  • Provide personal care, including bathroom assistance, incontinence support, and showering and dressing residents
  • Serve meals and support residents with mealtime
  • Contribute to the wellbeing of residents through conversation and participation in activities
  • Perform cleaning tasks, including tidying rooms and changing linen
  • Complete administrative tasks, including computer-based documentation

Requirements

  • Currently studying Cert III or IV Individual Support (Ageing) and due to be qualified within 6 months of commencing employment
  • Excellent communication skills, including listening, observing, and speaking
  • A passion for helping others
  • Ability to think on your feet
  • Motivation to learn, grow, and develop
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships among residents, colleagues, and supervisors
