Personal Care Specialist

Right at Home is dedicated to providing exceptional in-home care and support to individuals across Western Australia. We are seeking passionate, client-focused Personal Care Specialists to join our team.

Our mission is centered around improving the quality of life for those we serve. As a Personal Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering holistic, client-centered care that meets the unique needs of each individual.

The Key Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing personal care and assistance with daily living activities, adhering to client care plans.
  • Collaborating closely with Registered Nurses to deliver client-specific care, including personal hygiene, toileting, nutrition, mobility, and more.
  • Identifying client care needs and working collaboratively with the client's care team to ensure high-quality, comprehensive care.
  • Communicating effectively with clients, their families, and team members.
  • Supporting clients with light housekeeping duties to promote independence, including laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation.
  • Maintaining accurate daily client notes and promptly reporting any concerns to the RN/Care Manager.
  • Supporting clients with mobility aids, range-of-motion exercises, and non-sterile dressings, under the supervision of an RN.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Cert III in Aged Care/Disability (or equivalent).
  • Current Senior First Aid [HLTAID011], CPR [HLTAID009] and Manual Handling [HLTWHS005] (with 3+ months until expiry).
  • A roadworthy and insured vehicle with a current driver's licence.
  • Federal Police Clearance (within the last 6 months).
  • Willingness to travel and flexibility with shifts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with empathy for elderly clients.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards for home care.
  • Commitment to safety, infection control, and emergency procedures.
