About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Ecommerce Content Specialist to join our team at News Corp Australia. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Sydney.

Key Responsibilities
  • Write high-quality, engaging and revenue-driving SEO ecommerce content that aligns with our brand values.
  • Pitch ideas to grow and diversify our affiliate revenue stream in regular content planning meetings.
  • Manage, write and edit tech deals articles.
  • Target and cover ecommerce SEO content gaps to drive clicks and revenue.
  • Conduct in-depth research and interview experts for assigned articles.
  • Optimise and update existing ecommerce stories each week to increase their earning potential.
  • Cover ecommerce sale tent poles throughout the year, focusing on SEO.
  • Collaborate with social, email and audience development teams to ideate and execute new ways of connecting shopping on social media and newsletters.
  • Use purchasing data, research trends and perform a competitive analysis of comparable sites to inform content development and improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A knowledge of what makes for high-quality, engaging and clickable digital content.
  • A clear passion and enthusiasm for News Corp's brands, particularly news.com.au checkout and Taste.
  • Previous experience writing clean, authentic, engaging copy for a digital lifestyle brand or publication at speed.
  • Previous experience working and uploading into a CMS.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of core SEO principles and best practices to attract a buying audience.
  • An organised, methodical approach to work with a creative and collaborative mindset.
  • The ability to work against tight deadlines.
  • A flair for working with individuals across different departments.
  • A self-starter who relishes the opportunity to directly accelerate the growth of News Corp's ecommerce business.
