Job Opportunity: Deputy Engineering Manager

The Deputy Engineering Manager plays a key role in leading and coordinating engineering activities to deliver complex defence projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and coordinate engineering activities in support of acquisition projects
  • Ensure capability requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle
  • Manage and maintain the engineering documentation suite
  • Provide formal engineering advice and maintain technical risk registers
  • Supervise the engineering team and support their professional development
Requirements:
  • Chartered Professional Engineer status or eligibility through a recognised body
  • Tertiary qualifications in Systems Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience in Defence capability projects and knowledge of ODCS and ASDEFCON suite
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive strategic outcomes
Security Clearance:

Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance is required due to the nature of the work.
