Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at the newly opened Gold Coast office.

This is a fantastic opportunity to come on board as the office continues its upwards growth, with a secure pipeline of projects already in place.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various quantity surveying functions, exercising sound financial acumen, and proactively maximising value for our clients.

The role will involve:

  • Liaising with clients, architects, and main contractors
  • Identifying and facilitating new business opportunities
  • Master-planning and feasibility budgets
  • Cost checking of developing designs
  • Value engineering
  • Tender evaluations and analysis
  • Contract negotiations
  • Cash flow projects
  • Procurement
  • Cost reporting
  • Evaluation of variations
  • Valuations
  • Final account reporting
  • Claims preparation, presentation, negotiation, and settlement of claims
  • Investment analysis
  • Formulating and implementing benchmarking processes to improve the consistency, accuracy, and time to prepare cost models and plans

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management
  • Full Australian working rights and current location in Australia
  • RICS/AIQS accreditation highly regarded
  • Proficient in the use of Cost X
  • Ability to produce both top-down and bottom-up cost plans
  • Thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from conception to completion and post-project review
  • Highly motivated with a passion for delivering excellence to clients
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage a team and control multiple projects/client commissions
