Job Title: Production Safety Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Safety Officer to join our team at Labourpower. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective WHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Assist with the review and maintenance of safety documentation, including SWMS, toolboxes, and safety alerts.
  • Collaborate with the equipment supervisor to ensure the maintenance and record-keeping of machinery safety devices.
  • Compile data for safety and quality reporting and initiatives, and ensure timely submission to relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in internal and external compliance audits and reviews, and assist with document preparation.
  • Assist the Operations Manager with site audits and inspections, and action NCRs within the required timeframe.
  • Investigate public or client complaints, incidents, or accidents, and document corrective actions.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a WHS or compliance role, preferably in manufacturing or production.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a high-volume environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to learn new systems and software.
  • Ability to identify and develop ideas that lead to improvements within internal safety systems, processes, and behaviors.
