Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our team in planning, implementing, and evaluating programs that inspire young minds.

Journey South is a 100-place centre with a long-standing team of inclusive and adventurous educators. Our environment promotes child-led play and learning in both indoor and outdoor spaces.

This is a full-time opportunity across Monday to Friday. As the Early Childhood Teacher, your primary focus will be to provide a safe and stimulating environment which meets the social, cultural, emotional, educational and physical needs of the children.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a high level of health & safety standards are maintained at all times
  • Create, develop and implement high quality and engaging educational programs
  • Facilitate play-based learning environments that are responsive to children's interests, strengths, and abilities
  • Observe and document children's progress and development
  • Foster positive relationships with children, families and the community
  • Develop and participate in a variety of community projects and initiatives

About You:

You are an enthusiastic and inspired Early Childhood Teacher with a passion to lead the development of high-quality, age-appropriate programs and engaging daily routines that foster a love of learning in young children.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • ACECQA Approved Bachelor's/ Master's Degree or Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Outstanding level of verbal and written communication
  • Strong Knowledge and experience of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards
  • Strong computer skills
  • Current approved First Aid Certificate
  • Current approved Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
