Culinary Specialist - Early Education

We are seeking a passionate Culinary Specialist to join our team at an early education center. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in providing outstanding nutrition and education to young minds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook healthy meals for children, promoting healthy habits and culinary creativity.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including stock take and ordering, to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, adhering to food safety regulations and procedures.
  • Collaborate with educators to develop menu plans that meet nutritional requirements and support educational goals.
  • Contribute to the development of a supportive environment where teachers and staff can feel fulfilled and make a positive impact every day.

Requirements:

  • Passionate about providing outstanding nutrition and education to children.
  • Experience in childcare or aged care settings, with knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures.
  • Able to manage stock take and ordering, maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and adhere to food safety regulations and procedures.
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate is essential.
  • Valid Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain.
  • Certificate in Commercial Cookery or Hospitality is desirable.
