Fortinet is a global leader in cybersecurity solutions, and we're seeking a skilled Professional Services Consultant to join our ANZ team in Australia. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional services to our customers and driving business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement effective security solutions for our customers, ensuring timely project delivery and high customer satisfaction.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of customer requirements, technical specifications, and solution designs to deliver tailored services.
  • Represent Fortinet in a professional manner, ensuring seamless interactions with customers and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Fortinet security solutions in customer environments.
  • Work autonomously to execute customer and Fortinet taskings, adhering to project timelines and quality standards.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and mentoring to internal and customer teams to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Stay up-to-date with Fortinet technologies and industry trends, applying this knowledge to deliver best-practice advice during project delivery.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge in network security disciplines, including switching, routing, SD-WAN, firewalls, UTM, and more.
  • Communicate complex technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Interface with Fortinet's business and technology partners to share knowledge and drive business growth.
  • Effectively communicate project information to Fortinet management and stakeholders.
  • Utilize strong communication and conflict resolution skills to address interpersonal conflicts and issues.
  • Adapt to changing workloads, demonstrating resilience and flexibility to manage shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Effectively analyze technical issues, apply troubleshooting methodologies, and resolve complex problems.
  • Receive and follow direction from supervisors, team leads, and management.
  • Maintain high levels of efficiency, accuracy, and attention to detail in executing job responsibilities.
  • Apply effective time-management techniques to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Leverage strategic and critical thinking to create and implement solutions to technical challenges.
  • Resolve and escalate issues in a timely manner.
  • Complete and submit required administrative tasks, including timesheets, activity reports, and project reports.
  • Follow up with customers and internal Fortinet departments to ensure project documentation is completed.

Requirements

  • A current NV-2 government security clearance is mandatory.
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in a network security vendor, with 5+ years in LAN/WAN/Internet support or administration and 3+ years in network security products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong knowledge of the security threat landscape.
  • Administrator-level working knowledge of Windows, UNIX, or Linux, with experience in technical support, sales engineering, or a related field.
  • Network security certifications, such as Fortinet NSE4, and external certifications like Cisco, F5, Juniper, or AWS.
  • Strong understanding of core Internet protocols and applications, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, IPv4, IPv6, and networking skills.
  • Scripting experience and familiarity with APIs, such as RESTful APIs.
  • Ability to work according to customer schedules, which may include weekends or evenings.
  • Team player with excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • MS Office Suite proficiency, including PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and Project.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex network and security environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in EE, CS, or CE, or equivalent experience.
