Job Overview

This role focuses on enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities and their support networks through tailored, evidence-based Positive Behaviour Support. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality care that promotes positive change and enhances well-being.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing and developing strong, collaborative relationships with participants, families, and stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines by reviewing and actively reducing restrictive practices.
  • Conducting comprehensive Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs) to identify underlying needs.
  • Designing and implementing person-centred Behaviour Support Plans that promote positive outcomes.
  • Providing education and training to carers and support teams to build capacity and confidence.
  • Collecting and analysing data regularly to monitor progress and inform ongoing support strategies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Endorsement as 'Proficient' or above against the PBS Capability Framework (evidence of letter of suitability from the relevant authority also required).
  • A relevant bachelor's degree (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Counselling, Disability Studies).
  • Full working rights in Australia.
  • Prior experience in community, private or acute settings.
  • Access to your own vehicle and a current driver's licence.
  • A NDIS Workers Check and Working with Children Check.
