Electrical Supervisor - Africa Role

Job Overview:

This is a hands-on position responsible for ensuring effective knowledge transfer to national electrical personnel in HV preventative, scheduled and breakdown maintenance at the mine site, performed in a safe and efficient manner.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience & qualifications:

  • At least 10 years as an Underground electrician
  • Minimum 5 years as an Underground electrical supervisor
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian standards relevant to underground mining electrical systems
  • Sound understanding of maintaining electrical management systems
  • Familiarity with WHS requirements
  • Solid computer skills

Responsibilities:

This role supports the site leadership teams in implementing AUMS safety systems and initiatives to improve safety performance related to electrical functions. Ensure compliance with Acts, Regulations, policies, procedures and work instructions in working areas. Lead visual interactions and collaborate with site project management and electrical manager on non-compliance issues.
