About the Quarry Manager Position

Our organisation is seeking a highly skilled Quarry Manager to lead operations at a 24/7 site in the Southeast suburbs of Melbourne, VIC. This is an opportunity to contribute to the site's overall performance and achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety and Compliance: Promote a culture where safety is prioritised above all else, ensuring compliance with all environmental obligations and relevant safety systems.
  • Operational Leadership: Oversee day-to-day operations, provide expert knowledge to production and maintenance teams to ensure optimal quarry operation.
  • Team and Stakeholder Management: Lead a team of approximately 50 reports, build positive relationships with stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and community groups.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement the overall quarrying development plan for long-term sustainability.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with at least eight years of experience in quarry management or operations, with demonstrated experience in a supervisory or management role. Key requirements include:

  • A current and valid driver's license.
  • A strong understanding of occupational health and safety statutory legislation.
  • High-level interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
