Operational Excellence Specialist:

Job Description

The Factory Operational Excellence Specialist will play a pivotal role in achieving operational excellence and driving cost savings at the factory. This key member of the factory leadership team will support the factory manager in ensuring seamless execution of projects, effective management of internal and external stakeholders, and provision of expert advice on financial matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements within the factory and develop strategic plans to realise these benefits.
  • Validate and review project completion timelines and costs to ensure accuracy and adherence to company policies.
  • Develop and implement robust control measures to mitigate risks associated with SAP reports and ensure accurate reporting of actual costs.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to inform business decisions.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial information to stakeholders, including senior management and external auditors.
  • Coach and develop junior team members to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering results in high-pressure environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • CA/CPA qualification or equivalent desirable.
  • Excellent Excel, SAP, and reporting tools knowledge essential.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced changes and work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
