About the Opportunity


We are seeking a highly motivated and competitive researcher to undertake a Doctoral scholarship opportunity at Swinburne University of Technology. The scholarship is funded by the Centre for Forensic Behavioural Science, Swinburne University of Technology and the Victorian Institute of Forensic Mental Health (Forensicare).


The scholar will be primarily based at the Centre for Forensic Behavioural Science and will have the opportunity to work closely with Forensicare to address critical issues in forensic mental health care. The scholar will also have the opportunity to collaborate with supervisors and establish an industry presence and build leadership networks.


About You


To be successful in this role, you will have a Bachelor degree honours and/or a research master's degree in psychological sciences, health sciences, population and global health, and those with relevant industry experience, with a First Class Honours (average grade 80-100) or equivalent. You will also need to meet the entry requirements for the relevant Higher Degree by Research at Swinburne University of Technology.

What We Offer


This scholarship offers a stipend of $45,000 p.a. for 3 years and the opportunity to work closely with Forensicare and the Centre for Forensic Behavioural Science. You will also have access to our Doctoral programs and the opportunity to collaborate with supervisors and establish an industry presence and build leadership networks.
