Forensic Mental Health Researcher

We are seeking a highly motivated and competitive candidate to undertake a Doctoral research project in Forensic Behavioural Science, focusing on improving Forensicare services and promoting the wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals.
The successful applicant will join the Centre for Forensic Behavioural Science at Swinburne University of Technology, working closely with Forensicare and the Victorian Institute of Forensic Mental Health to address critical issues in forensic mental health care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research in Forensic Behavioural Science, with a focus on improving Forensicare services and promoting the wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals.
- Collaborate with supervisors and industry partners to develop a research project that addresses critical issues in forensic mental health care.
- Contribute to the implementation of recommendations from the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System.
Requirements:
- Hold a Bachelor degree with Honours and/or a research master's degree in a relevant field.
- Meet the entry requirements for the relevant Higher Degree by Research at Swinburne University of Technology.
- Demonstrate strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse cultural groups.

- A stipend of $45,000 p.a. for 3 years.
