Platform Engineer Job Description

As a key member of our team, the Platform Engineer plays a vital role in driving the evolution of our architecture.

This is a challenging mid-senior level position that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a customer-focused mindset.

The successful candidate will have expertise in one or more technologies such as Kubernetes, Helm Charts, Rancher, PKS, AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service), Terraform, and experience with at least one public cloud provider (e.g., Azure).

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Setting up, deploying, and managing environments and microservices for internal and customer-facing applications, both on-premise and in the cloud
  • Supporting customers in setting up and maintaining their environments and providing consulting services as needed
  • Advising on and contributing to the transformation of legacy components
  • Researching and experimenting with modern technologies to continuously improve processes and systems
  • Overseeing our release management, ensuring seamless deliveries of the Miles Enterprise stack
