Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a Support Worker to provide personalized care and assistance to individuals with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop positive relationships with clients and their families.
  • Identify strategies to promote client independence and autonomy.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic support.
  • Maintain client safety and well-being at all times.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts and hours.

Skill Requirements:

  • Knowledge of NDIS principles and practices.
  • Understanding of disability-related policies and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic records.

Ticket Requirements:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • National Police Certificate.
  • First Aid Certification (preferred).
  • Working with Children Check (preferred).

Language Requirement:

  • English language proficiency (written and spoken).

This role involves providing daily living assistance, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration. The successful candidate will be able to cultivate a supportive and inclusive environment for individuals with disabilities.

The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications or be willing to obtain them, as well as a First aid and CPR certificate, Covid Vaccination Certificate, and a Police check not older than 6 months.
