Are you looking for a challenging role in baggage handling?

This position is part of our team responsible for tracing and locating mishandled bags for international carrier clients. Our team members are also responsible for reporting on damaged bags directly back to the airlines.

We are seeking motivated individuals with excellent communication skills who can work efficiently, safely, and accurately to meet client requirements during aircraft turnarounds and achieve required Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

The primary duties and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Being the first point of contact for passengers at the carousel
  • Checking the loading details of passengers
  • Monitoring carousels for issues such as belt stoppages and passenger concerns
  • Liaising with the below-wing team for missing baggage
  • Recording rush bags received
  • Reporting issues to supervisors
  • Creating and tracing files for missed or damaged bags
  • Forwarding/delivering baggage to passengers

To be successful in this role, you will need to be available for shift work across a 24/7 roster, including mornings, evenings, and weekends. You will also require a full Victorian Driver's License and be an Australian/New Zealand citizen or permanent resident. Additionally, you will need to undergo a pre-employment medical and drug test, and obtain a satisfactory security clearance.
