Process Engineer - Energy

We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer to join our team and assist with the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our Co-gen plant.

  • This role involves coordinating maintenance and reliability tasks, conducting efficiency assessments, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance our plant's operational effectiveness.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical, chemical, or process engineering, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform field audits/checks and work closely with operation staff to ensure Fuel, Steam and Energy systems are operating safely, reliability and efficiently.
  • Ensure inventory levels are maintained and engage suppliers as deliveries / removals are needed.
  • Provide boiler, energy, fuel and steam system technical support to the site, including participating in the 24/7 on call roster.
  • Participate in regular maintenance activities and troubleshoot issues to ensure continuous plant operation.
  • Identify reliability improvement, energy efficiency and cost control projects for implementation and other continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost and use of fuel, energy and steam.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, or process engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong computer proficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to form strong relationships with stakeholders on all levels.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot complex production issues under pressure.
