Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sales Assistant to join our team in our Coolum store. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling sales transactions, and maintaining high visual merchandising standards.

This part-time position works 30 hours per week across a rotating roster in our 6-day a week trading store (Monday - Saturday).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized service, advice, and product solutions to customers
  • Tint paint products to customer specifications
  • Manage inventory control, including goods receiving and stock taking
  • Process orders in-store and over the phone
  • Replenish stock, including large paint drums
  • Develop strong relationships with regular customers and colleagues
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest colour trends and product releases
  • Assist with visual displays, store presentation, and housekeeping
  • Maintain a safe working environment
Requirements
  • A valid driver's license for local deliveries
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role
  • Knowledge of stock handling and merchandising
  • The ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting heavy paint cans
  • Familiarity with Point of Sale systems or similar technology
  • Numeracy skills to process transactions and understand tint ratios
  • The ability to work independently and follow instructions
  • Problem-solving skills and adaptability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook
Estimated Salary

$25-$35 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
