Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Dental Assistant Trainee. As a key member of our dental office, you will work closely with patients and colleagues to provide exceptional care and support.

The successful candidate will assist dentists and other oral health professionals with patient preparation, instrument handling, and laboratory duties. This role requires strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and a compassionate nature.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients, prepare them for treatment, and ensure a positive experience
  • Mix materials for fillings, sterilize instruments, and maintain equipment
  • Arrange and hand instruments, medication, and dental materials to practitioners
  • Prepare dental materials, develop x-rays, and perform routine maintenance on equipment
  • Advise patients on dental health education and post-operative care
  • Act as receptionist, perform billing, and other clerical tasks
Requirements
  • Be well-presented, enthusiastic, reliable, and punctual
  • Have strong attention to detail, good dexterity skills, and high personal presentation standards
  • Show great listening abilities and a compassionate nature

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this role is $45,000 - $55,000 AUD, based on modern award rates and location. Please note that applicants must be Australian citizens, permanent residents, or hold a visa that allows them to work in Australia.
