Job Description

AWS Data Center Engineering Operations team is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.

The team supports all AWS Data Centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure customers have continual access to our services.

We work on challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain and are looking for talented individuals who want to help us deliver high safety and security standards while providing immense capacity at low cost.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Maintenance: Undertake routine maintenance and emergency service of critical systems, including switchgear, generators, UPS, power distribution, chillers, cooling towers, CRACs, building monitoring, and fire systems.
  • Infrastructure Development: Install new rack capacity and provision power and cooling.
  • Vendor Management: Manage contractors and vendors, ensuring work complies with established practices, procedures, and local regulations.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports/documentation of critical facility operations and maintenance; manage facility assets.
  • Issue Resolution: Generate change management and incident tickets for facility-related events and assist in resolving infrastructure issues.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with data center IT managers and business leaders to coordinate day-to-day operations, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, sustainability, and efficiency.
  • Project Execution: Drive projects to increase facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability, and reliability; assist in design, implementation, commissioning, and build-out of new data center facilities.
