Residential Claims Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Claims Assessor to join our team.
- Assess and process a caseload of allocated home and contents claims in an accurate and timely manner.
- Liaise with customers, repairers, suppliers, staff and third parties to achieve a seamless claim settlement process.
- Review assessment reports received from external loss adjusters, repairers, manufacturers or engineers.
- Adjust claim settlements to achieve fair and equitable outcomes and setting of accurate reserves.
- Inspect and audit of claim repairs completed by approved service provider network.
- Identify risk management information to underwriters, potential fraud matters and recovery opportunities.
- Conduct desktop claim reviews through to settlement.
- Ensure accurate and complete updates and diaries are kept on our claims management system.
- Demonstrated experience working as a Claims Assessor within the Insurance industry is highly desirable.
- Loss Adjusting qualifications (Cert IV or Diploma) is highly desirable.
- Extensive knowledge of residential building codes and property repair industry.
- Strong customer service, negotiation and communication skills.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility and enthusiasm in a professional work environment.
- Must have a current and unrestricted drivers license.
- Relevant trade qualifications in building and construction or relevant trade background is desirable.
