About the Role

The Senior Case Manager - APS 6 is a key position within our organization, responsible for providing leadership and expertise in case management. This role requires a high level of autonomy and accountability, with the ability to exercise initiative and judgment in interpreting legislation and policy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake end-to-end case management activities, including resolving matters through case management of applications in relation to reviewable decisions.
  • Analyze complex matters and develop options for early resolution.
  • Obtain necessary information and advice to effectively resolve matters.
  • Apply alternate dispute resolution methods and advocacy skills to resolving applications/reviews, in keeping with the model litigant principles.
  • Attend case conferences, conciliations, and hearings conducted.
  • Prepare documents detailing resolution options and outcomes at case management meetings.
  • Prepare and maintain electronic record keeping, including evidence to support decision-making processes and justify conclusions reached during the case management process.
Requirements
  • Ability to work in a high-paced team and manage multiple tasks at hand.
  • Individual case management experience of matters involving risk and vulnerable stakeholders.
  • Experience in interpreting information and legislation to reach an agreed resolution.
  • Sound decision-making skills and the ability to justify decisions based on evidence.
