This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of mechanical and electrical systems, equipment across the resort. The Maintenance Manager will ensure effective leadership, staff development, training, performance monitoring, task allocation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Educate staff and guests on environmental policies to promote a culture of sustainability.
  • Participate in public relations exercises and ensure punctual service to guests, enhancing their overall experience.
  • Recruit, train, and develop trade colleagues to improve team performance and expertise.
  • Manage departmental performance, implement apprenticeship programs, and ensure engineering team licensing to meet industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot engineering problems, plan solutions, and maintain repair records to optimize system efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative controls and provide plans for efficient operation of plant and equipment, minimizing downtime.
  • Responsible for upkeep of engineering service contracts and manage trades team to deliver high-quality services.

Requirements:

  • Trade or academic qualifications to demonstrate technical knowledge and skills.
  • A strong background in electrical trade qualification and high voltage switching experience is highly desirable.
  • Confined space entry and working at heights experience is also highly desirable.
  • The ability to obtain a Queensland General Safety Induction Card is essential.
  • Operational management experience, particularly in hotel or resort settings, is highly regarded.
