Mechanic - Fleet Maintenance Specialist

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining high standards in all aspects of the job
  • Ensuring equipment is in good working order through regular inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Diagnosing and repairing vehicles and equipment as needed

The ideal candidate will possess strong understanding of general engineering tools, vehicle electric diagnosis, and hydraulic operations. Experience with marine vessels is preferred.

The role requires physical fitness to perform tasks on feet and bending/kneeling duties. A valid driver's license and compliance with local driving laws are also essential.


About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team at InterContinental Hayman Great Barrier Reef.

This position involves maintaining our fleet of vehicles and mechanical equipment, ensuring smooth resort operations. This includes preventative maintenance to minimize equipment failures, providing guests with a trouble-free experience.

A key focus of this role is to diagnose and repair vehicles and equipment as needed, while also ensuring excellent communication skills and being warm, welcoming, and approachable.

In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards in all aspects of the job and ensuring equipment is in good working order through regular inspections and preventative maintenance.
