Job Description

The Philanthropy Officer plays a vital part in engaging and supporting valued donors to fund critical work, which involves taking action on big issues facing our oceans.

In this role, you will coordinate and provide administrative support to philanthropic fundraising programs, including those for mid and major donors, business supporters, grants, and bequests.

Your work supports the recruitment and engagement of donors by ensuring the administration of records, processing of donations, and communication with supporters is delivered efficiently, effectively, and in a way that inspires ongoing financial support for marine conservation work.

This role involves:

  • Providing administrative support for the Philanthropy Team to support various relationship-based philanthropy fundraising programs.
  • Processing donations and issuing receipts as required for philanthropy programs.
  • Data entry of valuable supporter information, communications, and preferences.
  • Conducting funder, donor, and supporter research.
  • Coordinating administration for all third-party philanthropic platforms and websites.
