About the Role

As a seasoned leader, you will be responsible for guiding a large team across multiple locations in delivering high standards of safety and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within your team
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive collaborative working practices
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver key business objectives and priorities
  • Design and execute training programs that develop HSS capability and capacity within project teams
  • Participate in governance processes to ensure effective management of risks and compliance
  • Oversee the execution of work accountable to the HSS team
About You

You will be an experienced people leader with a proven track record of managing diverse teams in the mining or similar industries. Your passion for developing others through coaching, mentoring, and guidance is essential.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in HSS or related field
  • Prior experience in projects or construction is highly advantageous
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills with ability to negotiate and influence at senior levels
  • Detailed knowledge of key concepts, theories, and practices related to effective management of HSS related risks
  • Tertiary degree in health, safety, security, and emergency management or related field (or equivalent experience)
