Associate Application Management Specialist">

We seek a skilled professional to join our SaaS and Hosting team as an Associate Application Management Specialist. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for delivering managed services in public and private cloud hosting environments, ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' IT infrastructure, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create reports and analyze performance trends to identify potential improvement areas and/or performance deficiencies.
  • Provide analytical value creation initiatives to enable prioritization efforts.
  • Understand the scope and relevant attributes of all current Service Levels and KPIs, and have demonstrated knowledge of defining new metrics.
  • Ensure that risks and issues related to critical services are recorded, tracked, assessed, and escalated as necessary.
  • Focus on Problem Management goals and initiatives to address, track, and implement in a timely manner. Building good working relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Manage appropriate Server-based hosted environments (involving environment builds, network and storage management, firewall and switch configuration, patching, monitoring, etc.).
  • Deploying and maintaining software solutions built on Java, JBoss/WildFly stack, leveraging databases.
  • Liaise with the DevOps and Service Delivery teams to ensure consistent delivery of software services.
  • Ensure that hosting services comply with national and international industry and quality regulations and frameworks incl. SSAE16 and ISAE3402.
  • Work with the hosting team to deploy effective security policies, processes, and procedures in line with industry benchmarks and regulatory requirements including ISO 27001.
  • Implement supporting tools and processes to enable effective monitoring of the hosted platforms in line with contractual obligations, SLAs, and KPIs.
  • Take responsibility for customer escalations and act as a point of escalation both in and out of hours as required.
  • Prioritize activities according to client need and team objectives.
  • Undertake other projects and roles as required from time to time by senior management.
Requirements:
  • Good understanding of IP networking (both physical and virtual), DNS, and Active Directory, certificates.
  • Experience working with databases, with key understanding of queries, backup & recovery strategies.
  • Ability to analyze traffic for common services is considered an asset.
  • Exposure to enterprise monitoring tools.
  • Experience of Java Application Server management.
  • Security-focused mind-set to enforce security standards.
  • Specific technologies used include: AWS, Terraform, VMware, Windows Server, Linux Server, firewalls, physical servers, and switches.
  • Experience and understanding of information security issues and industry standards such as SSAE16 and ISO 27001.
  • ITIL certification is considered an asset.
