Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Category Development Analyst to join our Commercial Marketing team on a fixed-term contract.

This role will focus on driving actionable category and shopper insights to support the achievement of our business goals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, ideally within the Food or FMCG industry, and be proficient in using data tools such as Nielsen/IRI software.

They will be responsible for developing Category & Shopper plans, identifying targeted shopper marketing opportunities, and leading category planning/reviews with customers.

Additionally, they will provide support for the management of the Commercial Planning process of the Retail Business.

  • Assist the team in developing a deep understanding of the categories;
  • Recommend changes in strategy consistent with insights from detailed category analysis;
  • Proactively provide regular & ad-hoc category performance analysis;
  • Support the team with scan data related queries and reporting analysis;
  • Facilitate training of teams in the use of the relevant data tools;
  • Taking the lead as 'Category Advisor' for category reviews for Canned Vegetables across multiple customers;
  • Develop fact-based Ranging & Shelf Layout Strategies;
  • Support the Commercial Planning process for the retail business;
  • Lead Customer specific Category Management Projects.
