Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Fabrication Project Coordinator, experienced in managing engineering activities for large-scale fabrication projects.

This role involves coordinating the delivery of complex fabrication projects, ensuring compliance with specifications and safety standards, and collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to achieve project milestones.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate fabrication project activities to ensure successful delivery.
  • Develop and manage project plans, including material specifications, welding procedures, and production schedules.
  • Liaise with internal teams and vendors for timely delivery and high-quality workmanship.
  • Review and interpret project drawings, BOMs, and technical documents, escalating design or scope issues as needed.
  • Conduct on-site inspections and quality checks to confirm compliance with client specifications, safety standards, and fabrication codes.
  • Drive process improvements aligned with industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified in Mechanical, Structural, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Proven experience in fabrication engineering within oil & gas, mining, or heavy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication tools, welding standards, and metalworking techniques.
  • Proficient in CAD software and project management tools.
  • Familiar with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Welding Inspector or equivalent quality certification (highly regarded).
