We are seeking a highly skilled Communications Specialist to join our team at Farm Credit Services. As a key member of our communications team, you will play a critical role in executing our reputation management strategy, implementing social media campaigns, developing written content for our website, and monitoring traditional media for opportunities to engage.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in creating engaging content and posting daily on our social media channels.
- Monitor social media for Farm Credit activities using digital vendor platforms.
- Develop monthly editorial calendars for Farm Credit institutions based on our One Mission. Many Voices. messaging campaign.
- Monitor traditional media for Farm Credit news.
- Compile the Farm Credit Daily News for distribution to our membership.
- Optimize our website content for search engine optimization by end-users.
- Support the development of social media toolkits for Farm Credit sponsored events and partnerships.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or Journalism.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in digital marketing and communications.
- Strong understanding of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn, including how to optimize postings and gather analytics.
- Professional knowledge and understanding of current trends and best practices in digital/social media, with experience representing a brand, organization, or company voice.
- Experience with Meltwater's social media and traditional media tools, as well as website management (WordPress) and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Knowledge of Congress, the executive branch, and the U.S. political process, as well as strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and organizational skills with attention to detail.

We provide the mechanism for member grassroots involvement in the development of positions and policies with respect to federal legislation and government actions that impact Farm Credit.
