Overview

This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the development and implementation of departmental and whole-of-government programs and strategies in relation to human services to children and families across Queensland.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the provision of policy and practice advice on matters across the child protection continuum.
  • Develop and implement quality systems and procedures to ensure effective coordination of responses to critical client, stakeholder, and system issues.
  • Implement effective coordination and ensure governance mechanisms are in place with program, policy, and regional stakeholders.
  • Provide advice regarding emerging issues, critical paths, project linkages, and strategic opportunities and challenges.
Essential Requirements
  • Genuine occupational requirement: This position must be filled by an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.
  • Ability to undertake intrastate travel for short periods.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in tertiary child protection practice and/or child protection service response design.
