Job Overview

The role is part of the Governance team that provides advice in relation to a range of governance, assurance and audit activities that supports JC4S at the operational and strategic level in delivery of JC4S Branch objectives.

This position offers opportunities to be engaged in work across the Branch, which will require developing an understanding of our Projects and Products and active pursuit of ongoing self-improvement, and professional development is expected.

Key Responsibilities

The role works under broad direction to manage key stakeholder relationships and achieve outcomes in relation to Branch governance, performance reporting, Branch risk management, and internal Branch assurance and audit functions that assure the AS JC4S that the Branch is achieving its Mission and Priorities in an accountable and defensible way.

Requirements

**Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent written, verbal communications and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong understanding of Commonwealth legislative and Defence compliance requirements, or the ability to quickly acquire this
  • Ability to assess and contribute to the development of governance frameworks, such as assurance, compliance, performance reporting, and/or risk management
  • Ability to monitor, document, and implement policies and procedures
  • Ability to plan for and deliver continuous improvement
