Research Opportunity: Efficient Architectural Training

The University of Technology Sydney's Data Science Institute is a world leader in data science and artificial intelligence.

We are collaborating with Leonardo.Ai to tackle research questions at the forefront of Generative AI.

This PhD project aims to explore efficient training methods, neural network architectural designs, and techniques for reducing parameter and/or computation without compromising performance.

The student will conduct foundational research on these topics, pushing the boundaries of our current multi-modal models' performance.

To be eligible, candidates must have a strong background in programming, mathematics, statistics or related areas, and knowledge of Diffusion, GANs, LLMs and generative AI.

Candidates should also demonstrate proficiency in modern deep learning frameworks such as Pytorch or Jax, and possess excellent English language skills.

This PhD will be hosted at the University of Technology Sydney, with significant time spent at the Leonardo.Ai headquarters in North Sydney.
