The University of Sydney seeks to appoint a Professor of Architecture with an outstanding record of research in architecture. The role involves research and academic leadership within architecture, as well as teaching in architecture programs, research student supervision, and undertaking research or research-led practice that advances architecture and its contribution to humanity.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain international standing for academic excellence through original, innovative, and distinguished contributions to scholarship and research.
  • Uphold and strive to enhance the research profile and reputation of the institution.
  • Coordinate and engage in high-quality teaching and learning experiences that meet the expectations and standards for education, including supervising higher degree research students to successful completions.
  • Provide thought leadership within the discipline, community, and professional, commercial, and industrial sectors.
  • Provide effective leadership to promote high performance and improve student learning and research outcomes.
  • Contribute to a positive workplace culture in which diversity of thought, contribution, collaboration, excellence, and achievement of outcomes are valued and enabled.
  • Lead effective collaborations and strategic initiatives to deliver outcomes in research, development, commercialisation, and policy improvement.
